Biography
Professor Jemal Abawajy is one of the founders of the CSRI and currently leads the Cyber Security and Technologies division. He is an expert in systems and network security and cybersecurity management such as human behaviour and threat intelligence. Jemal has won many awards including an outstanding services award, Deakin Vice-chancellery bast research award and several best paper awards. Jemal holds appointment as Honorary Adjunct Senior Professor, Visiting Professor and Adjunct Professor in many universities.
Jemal has also been appointed as an Academic Advisor on Master of Cyber Security program (e.g., at UKM), Advisory Board Member of cybersecurity program (e.g., IAU), and distinguished faculty under the GIAN (Global Initiative of Academic Networks), a prestigious programme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India. He has wide research collaborations nationally and internationally and his research has been supported by industry partners, the Australian Research Council (ARC) and Department of Industry, Innovation and Science (DIIS).
