Biography
After a STEM-focused secondary education in London, Dr John Morss qualified in psychology in the UK, taking his PhD in experimental developmental psychology at the University of Edinburgh. He then taught tertiary students in departments of psychology (University of Ulster) and of education (University of Otago), subsequently retraining in law in New Zealand and finally relocating to Australia. He has published 7 books of which 3 were sole authored plus numerous chapters and journal articles. He has been a visiting researcher in Cambridge, Berlin and the European University Institute among other centres.
At Deakin, John is an active member of the Alfred Deakin Institute and he has been at various times Acting Head and Associate Head (Research) of the Deakin Law School, as well as holding other leadership roles. He is currently Course Director for the LLB Hons program.
