Biography

Abid Adam is the Axiata Group Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (GCRCO), responsible for providing strategic direction, implementation, oversight and guidance for Cybersecurity, Data Privacy, Enterprise Risk Management, and Compliance/Ethics across the South East Asia region. Before joining Axiata, Abid has led Cyber security function and implemented transformational programmes for a large multi-national financial services organisation spanning across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Advisory to the Boards, and the CXO suite on Cyber and Privacy related matters.

Abid Adam serves at the World Economic Forum Digital Asean initiative and is a member of leading Global institutions such as ISC2 and ISACA. He was also a chapter representative for the Information Security Forum(ISF), the ISF is the world’s leading authority on cyber, information security and risk management comprising many of the world’s leading organisations featured on the Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 lists. Furthermore, he also currently serves on customer advisory boards and community forums of leading organisations.

He currently holds BSC Computer Science degree, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, MBCI and numerous other leading international accreditations.
