As technology becomes more embedded into every facet of daily life, the need for collaboration across research areas becomes more imperative. The Deakin Cyber Conference showcased some of the exciting, ground-breaking interdisciplinary research being undertaken by our researchers to advance our mission to empower people, organisations and communities to become cyber resilient and thrive in a digital society.

The showcase highlighted the crossover of disciplines in our research and innovation activities and was presented by:

A/Prof Maria O’Sullivan – Human rights in the Metaverse
Dr Elizabeth Clancy – Sexting and consent – what we do (and don’t) know
Dr Sophie McKenzie – Designing and developing a metaverse experience to build cyber-harm awareness in children and young people.
